Northwest Hereford Breeders,
Fall is almost here, and it's time for everyone to start thinking about our annual Northwest Hereford Breeders Bull Sale. We have made some changes this year and we have decided to hold the sale on Thursday-March 7, 2013. Below are the divisions that we will have this year.
The performance test bulls will need to be delivered to Top Cut Feedlot Feedlot during the last 2 weeks in October (15th-31st). The start weights for the Bull Test will be taken on November 10, 2012, and the final weight will be taken on February 19, 2013. There will again be a $250.00 feed deposit on all bulls at the time of delivery to the feedlot. Checks are payable to Top Cut Feedlot.
Bulls being delivered to the feedlot are required to have a negative BVD-PI test, brand certificate and health papers at delivery time. We are also going to require the bulls be trich tested this year due to bulls going out of state. It has also been requested that 2 modified live shots (like Bovishield Gold 5), and 7 way with H. Somnus (like Vision 7) be given to bulls prior to delivery to ensure optimum health during the feed trial. Also, an injectable wormer, (preferably Ivomec, Ivomec Plus, or Dectomax) should be given to your bulls as close to the drop off date as possible, (preferably within the 5 days prior to delivery). Your Veterinarian will need this address for your health papers: Top Cut Feedlot, 77197 Hwy 207, Echo, OR 97826. (541) 564-0476. (I-84, exit 182 feedlot is on the south side of the freeway.)
Entry forms are included. If you have any ideas for new consignors, or if you have a buyer mailing list that you would like to submit before the catalogs are mailed, please let Staci know and she will send them an entry. Home (208) 365-4132 or, email: email@example.com. Also, please check on any pending registrations to make sure all paperwork has been filed properly. Please remember, registration papers must be signed and accompany entry forms.
With the quality of consignments and the increasing interest in the Hereford breed, this year's sale is sure to be a great success.
